Class Descriptions

Novice - $75
(Carol Stream, Glendale Heights, and Winfield locations are $85.) (small non-resident fee may apply)
This course is designed to educate the public on being responsible dog owners and to recognize and control problems before they become unmanageable. You will teach your dog to heel, sit, down, stay, stand for veterinary exam, and come when called all in 6 weeks time! You will see improvement immediately following the first session and thereafter in working with your dog for only 30 minutes per day. Along with learning basic commands the topics of nutrition, immunizations, and grooming will be discussed. Dogs four months or older are welcome.
* Same dog and handler can repeat class anytime for free. *
Class Dates

Off Leash - $75
Our off-leash class is for students that have completed our 6 week Novice class. Transition work that builds on your novice training will have your dog off-leash with control in as little as 5 weeks. Work will incorporate distractions to increase reliability.

Open - $125
This is a 10-week class for dogs that have completed our Novice and off-leash classes. This course covers retrieving, jumping, polishing Novice exercises and much more. There is a 4-dog MINIMUM for this class. Additional equipment required. Dumbbells will be for sale. Orders for jumps will be taken.

Semi Private - $120
Looking for a more personal approach to training? Our semi-private classes are for no more than 6 dogs and cover all the basic novice commands. These classes are taught by the owner of RocSolid. * Equipment is included in the price of the class. *

In Home Private Lessons
Don’t have time to get into a group class or waiting for one to start up but you need some help right now? Our in home lessons might just be what you need. Every situation is different, so we can customize the lessons to your needs. There is no problem too small or big for us to help you solve. Don’t just live with the problems when you can fix them in a short amount of time. Don’t forget your furry friend is going to live to be 10-15 years of age. Why live with unwanted behaviors all those years? Average lesson is 1 ½ - 2 hours in length.

Private 6 week Novice class
Not sure if you are ready for a group class or just want some more one on one time to answer more questions and focus on just you and your dog? We offer one on one novice classes. In this class we will learn all the AKC novice exercises on leash and work toward off leash control. It doesn’t stop there. We will cover all problems you might be having as well as discuss proper nutrition, vaccinations, and grooming.  This class will be taught by the owner of Roc Solid Obedience. You can repeat our group novice class for free at any time after taking this class

Just $170 for this one on one class - price includes all equipment for class.

10 Week Novice class
Take your dog from kindergarten to high school graduate in 10 weeks. This class is designed to take a dog that is untrained to off leash control around major distractions in just 10 weeks. This class will cover all the AKC novice exercises which are: heel, sit, down, stand, stay, come, and a finish on and off leash. If you are committed to working with your dog for 10 weeks, we can have off leash control in that time.  It doesn’t take 6 months, a year, or even two to get a dog off leash and listening to every command the first time you say them. We will also cover all problems you are having along with proper nutrition and grooming. This class will be taught by the owner of Roc Solid Obedience and is limited to 8 dogs.
